An insurance policy allows you to feel confident and protected in case unpleasant moments arise during a trip in an unfamiliar country. In addition, in order to obtain a visa in most countries, a prerequisite is the conclusion of an insurance contract that guarantees the payment of medical expenses.

Your ERV comprehensive insurance policy may include various combinations of the following types of insurance:
Medical expenses insurance – will allow you to receive medical assistance abroad in the event of a sudden illness or accident.
When taking out an insurance policy, pay attention to the amount of the insured amount. For trips to the EU countries, the recommended amount for medical expenses insurance is at least 30,000 EUR for each Insured. For travel to exotic destinations such as Thailand, India (Goa), as well as when traveling to countries far removed from Ukraine, island states and countries, such as the Maldives, Caribbean Islands, as well as to the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Australia, the countries of North and South America, we recommend using an insured amount of at least 50,000 EUR/USD.
If you plan to spend your holiday actively, such as skiing, sledding, skating, motorcycles, water skiing, diving, taking part in amateur sports, riding animals or engaging in other high-risk activities, this must be included in your insurance policy. In this case, a surcharge will be applied to the insurance rate.
Please note that the likelihood of sudden health problems while traveling is always higher for older people, so when insuring tourists from 65 to 80 years old, a surcharge will also be applied to the insurance rate.
Accident insurance – will allow you to receive a cash payment if, as a result of an accident that occurred during a trip, temporary disability, disability or death occurred.
Please note that the amount of payment is determined in % of the sum insured, therefore, the higher the sum insured, the greater the cash payment you can receive.
Liability insurance – provides for a civilized resolution of conflict situations in court, legal assistance and compensation for damage in case you negligently caused damage to the property or health of third parties.
So, when doing outdoor activities, for example, skiing, there is a high probability of getting into a situation (collision, fall) that will cause injury or damage to property of third parties, incl. rented sports equipment. Filing a financial claim in these cases is a common practice, especially in Western European countries. This insurance coverage will allow you to receive legal assistance to protect your interests abroad.
Luggage insurance – will provide you with compensation for the costs of purchasing essential items in the event of a long delay in luggage, compensation for damage caused to luggage due to damage during the flight, theft, loss, for example, due to erroneous transportation to another country, as well as as a result of many other reasons .
Cancellation insurance (cancellation of a trip) — insurance of financial risks associated with the cancellation of a trip or interruption of a tourist trip will allow you to avoid financial losses in case of impossibility to go on a trip or early interruption of a tourist trip.
The reasons for canceling a trip can be very different, for example, the denial of an entry visa by consular services, accidents, sudden illness, problems with property, and so on.
