Day 1. Arrival in Punta Arenas, Chile

Your adventure will begin in the most populated city of southern Patagonia. Rising above the Strait of Magellan, Punta Arenas stands on the path of one of the most famous historical trade routes and keeps the testaments of the rich history of Chile.

Day 2. Flight to King George Island and boarding the ship
|

We will cross the legendary Drake Passage in just a few hours, while the sea passage would take several days. Our plane will begin its descent over the South Shetland Islands, and you will have the chance to admire the Antarctic scenery from the air. After landing, we will stretch our legs that have become stiff during the flight and explore the island, which has several research stations. Then you will board the Zodiac boats and transfer to the ship, which is already ready to go to the shores of the Antarctic Peninsula.

Day 3-6. Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands
|
|
We have to explore the western coast of the peninsula with its relatively ice-free waters. As we approach the White Continent, the species will become more and more more breathtaking - sharp rocks, endless expanses of snow, sparkling ice, which takes on a wide variety of forms: from giant massive glaciers to bizarre graceful icebergs that refract light at the most unexpected photogenic angles. Antarctica is truly one of the few places in the world that sinks into the soul and remains in memory for a lifetime ... And due to the express flight, our cruise offers to focus on the main thing, spending the maximum amount of time exploring the riches of this region.You will find many activities both on board the ship and beyond. The captain and expedition team will watch for whales and seabirds and inform passengers of new sightings. And our lecturers will help make your acquaintance with Antarctica deeper and more interesting, expanding your knowledge about the features of local geology, history and wildlife.But, undoubtedly, the main event will be the daily excursions and landings on land on Zodiac boats, which are the best and perhaps the most intimate way to get to know the nature of the far south. You will walk along beaches strewn with penguins and seals, you will cruise on the Zodiacs among icebergs and through narrow, ice-bound straits, you will track whales that swim to the surface of the water in search of food, you will watch how leopard seals hunt penguins, you will see thousands of sea birds , visit historical places associated with the names of the first explorers.
