Early morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, meet your driver-guide and drive through the picturesque Maasai lands, where you can see herdsmen with their cattle.
Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and is considered a paradise for photographers. Birdwatchers can see flamingos, birds of prey, and the vividly colored lilac-breasted roller.
After safari — transfer to Karatu, dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.
Often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” From the panoramic viewpoint on the crater’s edge, stunning views open up. Over 120 species of mammals live here, including the Big Five. There is a chance to spot the rare black rhino, hippos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as large herds of wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, and buffaloes.
Return to Karatu, dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.
Known for the Tarangire River, baobabs, and acacias, the park attracts thousands of animals during the dry season, including elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and rare species such as greater kudu, fringe-eared oryx, and ashy starling. Picnic lunch with a view of the river — but beware, local monkeys love to steal food.
