We dedicate the day to the capital of Alaska. Everything possible is concentrated in the capital, because more than half of the population of Alaska lives in Anchorage. We are waiting for you: the original design of the Anchorage Tourist Information Center, the house of one of the first settlers of the city - Oscar Anderson, city murals, a river with swimming salmon, views of Knick Arm Bay and with airplanes flying overhead, a climb to the observation deck above the city from the side of the mountains with panoramas. species
For lunch, we will go to the best pizzeria in Anchorage and the third in the rating in all of America!
After lunch, a visit to the largest museum in Alaska - the Anchorage Museum.
We are heading to the town of Girdwood, making stops at the most beautiful viewpoints overlooking Turnagain Arm Bay along the way.
Today's route includes the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a nonprofit sanctuary where animals feel as comfortable as possible. Bears, moose, bison, musk oxen, porcupines, and much more wildlife. We cross the valley, the lake, and pass by Portage Glacier. Of course, we will stop at viewpoints and take hikes.
We move on to Whittier. Whittier is located at the edge of Passage Canal Bay. This town is notable for the fact that almost all of its residents, about 300 people, live in one condominium. The town has a dock for cruise ships. For lunch, we will visit a local café and try a salmon burger.
We return to Anchorage and have dinner at a restaurant with genuine Alaskan steaks.
Early in the morning we leave for Seward, from where we will start our cruise through the Kenai Fjords National Park. Kenai Fjords National Park are coastal fjords that offer calm, beautiful sea views, icy landscapes, misty mountains, nameless waterfalls in canyons, glaciers. These are ancient and wild areas with many different ecosystems.
The cruise will take place on board a warm and comfortable ship, lunch is included in the price of the cruise. After the cruise we return to Anchorage.
Early this morning we leave for the Matanuska glacier. Matanuska is the largest glacier in Alaska, we will be able to get close to it and maybe even walk on it. A walk through the glacier is conducted with an instructor and in special equipment, it is a unique experience in a unique place.
Moving to the town of Vasyl. Visiting the headquarters of the Iditarod Trail Dog Sled Race. Annual multi-day dog sled races start here.
Return to Anchorage in the evening.
Early in the morning we leave for Talkitna, a small town at the confluence of three rivers. We will visit a small shop-factory for the production of birch syrup. It is a local delicacy and a competitor to maple syrup from the east of the country.
We are moving to Denali National Park. Denali National Park is the most famous and best reserve in Alaska, it is the northernmost reserve on the planet. Here is a unique opportunity to be surrounded by untouched wildlife, tundra and see wild animals in their natural environment: moose, deer, brown bears, wolves, and many birds. Magnificent views of Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America (6,194 meters).
After visiting the national park, we have dinner in a local restaurant of American cuisine, steaks, burgers with craft beer.
Fairbanks move, late arrival. Night at the hotel.
Fairbanks city tour. Fairbanks is the largest and coldest city in interior Alaska and the second largest city in the state, and home to the second Alaska State University. This is a city where you can observe the northern lights from the end of August under certain weather conditions...
Our route will pass along the China River, past the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Museum of the North, the Maurice Thomson Cultural Center. We will visit "Pioneer Park" - a historical theme park, one of the most important attractions, which presents the history of development, culture and traditions of Alaska.
We will visit the Fountainhead Vintage Car Museum - a surprisingly chic collection of vintage cars.
We are moving to the town of China, where we will have the opportunity to bathe in hot springs. Return to Fairbanks.
Today we return to Anchorage and finish the main program of the tour. But our adventures don't end for those who want to take one of Alaska's and the world's greatest wildlife trips - a flight to Katmai National Park to observe Wild Bears as they hunt salmon on the river.
The Katmai National Park is located in southwestern Alaska. The park is named after the mountain-volcano Katmay, there are 18 volcanoes in total on the territory of the park, more than half of which were active during the 20th century.
Thanks to the eruption of the Katmay volcano, one of the most remarkable sights - the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes - appeared in the park. But the main attraction of Katmai National Park, which attracts tourists from all over the world, are the bears that hunt the salmon that go to spawn in the Brooks River in the summer.
Katmai National Park is home to more than 2,200 bears, about 140 species of birds, and more than 20 species of fish, as well as wolves, foxes, moose, coyotes, beavers, and many others.
The territory of the park cannot be reached by land. All tours depart from Anchorage by small aircraft. The one-way flight is about 3 hours. The whole excursion is in English for the whole day until 10-12 o'clock.
In the evening, return to Anchorage to the airport for departure to Europe or continue the program with independent tours.
