New Year in Reunion and Mauritius

Arrival at Saint-Denis de la Reunion Airport (Roland-Garros), transfer to the hotel. Next, we will enjoy a walking tour along Rue de Paris, see the historic mansions Maison Carrère and Maison Déramond-Barre, and visit the State Garden (Jardin de l'Etat). On the way to the hotel, we will drive along the Le Barachois waterfront with a panoramic view of the ocean and the new coastal roads.

Breakfast and early departure from the hotel. This day is sure to evoke a storm of emotions in you! Our path lies across the picturesque La Plaine des Cafres plateau to the Nez de Bœuf viewpoint, offering views of a deep river valley. Next is a journey through the otherworldly La Plaine des Sables desert to the Pas de Bellecombe point, from where a view opens up to the active Piton de la Fournaise volcano. On the way back, we will see the Commerson volcanic crater. We descend to the town of Saint-Pierre for a masterclass on making traditional arranged rum in a local Creole restaurant. Afterward — a walk through the town center and along the Saint-Pierre waterfront. Return to the hotel.
New Year's Eve dinner!

Breakfast and departure to the south along the west coast. On the way, we will see the active sugar factory Usine du Gol in Saint-Louis. Next, we turn into the mountains onto the breathtaking road of 400 curves, which will lead us into the grandiose rocky cirque of Cilaos at an altitude of 1300 meters. In Cilaos, a traditional Réunion lunch awaits us. After lunch — a walk around the mountain lake, a visit to the House of Embroidery (Maison de la Broderie), and an ascent to the Roche Merveilleuse rock, from where the entire cirque can be seen in the palm of your hand. Return to the hotel.

Breakfast and a comfortable ascent through high-altitude meadows and tamarind forests to the summit of Piton Maïdo (2200 m). From here, a legendary view opens up to the wild Mafate cirque, which is impossible to reach by car. Descent to the historic Tour des Roches location. A light walking tour, a visit to a Creole village, and a traditional lunch await us. In the afternoon, we return to the hotel and relax on the coast. At sunset, we suggest taking a ride in completely transparent kayaks in the Hermitage lagoon (for an additional fee).

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to relax by the ocean. In the morning before the flight, we suggest a 45-minute helicopter flight over the volcanoes and the Trou de Fer canyon (for an additional fee). Transfer to Roland Garros Airport and a short 45-minute flight to Mauritius. Meeting at the airport, transfer, and check-in at a 5* hotel on the southwestern coast in the area of the majestic Le Morne mountain. An evening at the hotel, dinner to the sound of the surf.
