Tour program: Wave

Upon arrival, we will be met at the airport and transferred to San Salvador. There we will check into the hotel and rest after the flight.

We begin exploring San Salvador and then head to El Boquerón National Park, located on the slopes of a volcano. After a walk through the natural area, we return to the hotel.

We will have breakfast and head to the archaeological site of Joya de Cerén, an ancient settlement of the Maya civilization preserved under volcanic ash.

Then we continue our journey to the Tazumal Archaeological Park, one of the most important monuments of the pre-Columbian era.

After that, we return to the hotel.

After breakfast, our route leads to the port of La Unión. We will make a boat crossing to Nicaragua, the port of Potosí.

Then we transfer to the city of León and check into the hotel.

In the morning, we head to Cerro Negro Volcano, where sandboarding awaits us — descending the volcanic slope on a board.

After returning, we explore the city of León: its architecture, history, landmarks, and, of course, its atmosphere.

We return to the hotel and rest after a busy day.

We will visit the volcanic activity zone Hervideros de San Jacinto and the ruins of Old León, an important historical site of the country.

We then transfer to Managua and get acquainted with the city. We walk through the historic Tiscapa Park, see the ruins of the former presidential palace and the prison from the Somoza regime period. Then we descend along Avenida Bolívar toward the city center. Here we find important buildings: Central Park, the ruins of Santiago Cathedral, the National Palace, and the Rubén Darío National Theatre.

We continue our walk to Xolotlán Park to see with our own eyes a model of 75 buildings that were once located on the historic Avenida Roosevelt. Unfortunately, many of them were destroyed in the 1972 earthquake.

We then transfer to the city of Granada (approximately 1 hour). We explore the colonial city, take a boat ride among the islets of Lake Nicaragua, and check into the hotel.

We continue exploring Granada. Then we go on a boat trip among the islets of Lake Nicaragua.

We climb to the Santa Catarina viewpoint with a beautiful view of Lake Apoyo, which is actually a volcanic crater.

We visit the handicrafts market in Masaya and Masaya Volcano National Park, where it is possible to look into the crater of an active volcano.

After that, we return to the hotel.

We have breakfast and head to the Mombacho Volcano Nature Reserve.

The ascent passes through various natural zones: dry tropical forest, coffee plantations, and cloud forest. At the summit, we walk along the trail, enjoying an unusual collection of orchids, ferns, colorful butterflies, and birds.

Then we transfer to the port of San Jorge and take a ferry to Ometepe Island, where we check into the hotel.

We explore Ometepe Island: Jesús María Point, Charco Verde Nature Reserve, the El Ceibo Pre-Columbian Art Museum, and the natural pools of Ojo de Agua.

We return and rest at the hotel.

We transfer to the port, then take a ferry to San Jorge.

We transfer to Managua and check into the hotel.

We have breakfast and transfer to the airport according to the international flight.

End of the journey.
