Hot tours: myth and reality.

When meeting with friends, acquaintances, and very often relatives, the first question is not always: "How are you?" They are?".

Now we will clearly understand where and when they can be. Is it worth it to wait at all?

For a tourist, a hot tour is a ticket that is sold at a low price, so it must be booked as soon as possible (while there are places). True, in such tours the choice of hotels and departure dates is limited. This is also important to understand!

For the organizer of tours (tour operator) - this is the tour that is sold below cost.

Why?

• The number of free and unsold seats on an airplane or bus is very large.
• The number of days before the date of departure or departure is minimal.
• Places in the hotel are booked and prepaid.

How to choose a last-minute tour and not get it as a publicity stunt?

Where are hot tours possible?

Only to mass destinations (where most Ukrainians fly). Charter flights fly from Ukraine to Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy (in summer), Montenegro, Croatia, Albania. This means that it is in these countries that large tour operators allow leased aircraft. The chance of getting a last minute ticket increases. In winter, it is added: Finland, Dominican Republic, etc. But it is important to understand that for expensive destinations with a flight time of more than 4 hours, the cost of the tour cannot be 250 $ per person.

We do not take into account guaranteed blocks of seats (when the operator bought seats on an airline's aircraft for a scheduled flight in advance). It's even more difficult.

When can we expect hot tours?

Definitely not for the May holidays and New Year ☺and all other public holidays.

This is a top seller! Practice for years has shown that in warmer climes and cool sightseeing tours, if there is no jump in the exchange rate by 3 times in one day, places for the holidays are sold out in advance.

But at the beginning of the season in a particular country on the first air flights or bus trips, or the last by analogy - that's it! If this is a summer destination: April - mid-June and October. If winter - then ski tours are burning in early December and late March, tours to exotic countries (UAE, Sri Lanka) - in early October, late March.

Can I choose a hotel and departure time and dates?

Here is the most important point. The answer is no, or one of these 2 options. ☺

It is important to understand that when booking such a tour, you no longer practically have the opportunity to change something, choose or change, choose a date for your vacation. You just need to accept. ☺ In hotels of a high, really high level, there are practically no last-minute tours, as these places of residence fly away on early booking, or they are simply not interested in reducing the cost of living.

If you are not a demanding traveler, without a clear vacation schedule, ready to get together during the day or a couple of hours, not in the highest travel season, then you can play tourist roulette ☺.

Where will last-minute tours be in the 2017-2018 season.

According to my forecasts, I’ll say right away: to Andorra for skiing (3 planes fly and at the moment more than 1 time per week), to Egypt by sea (this season 100 (!) flights per week, including 65 from Kyiv), possibly to Sri Lanka (2 air carriers have been added, we will observe), to excursion Spain (all the same flights to Andorra, fly to Barcelona).

But how to save money on tours?

About this a little further. ☺  Now I'll just say one thing. If we are so actively going to Europe and want to take only the best from them, then plan and book in advance. So the chance to get your tour at an even better price increases much!
