Romania: idea for the weekend?

Romania: idea for the weekend?

I think if I say that Romania is not the most popular destination among Ukrainian tourists, I will not really surprise you. But this country is definitely worth visiting. But how, for how long and on what, I will tell you further.
Speaking of Romania, we already mean Count Dracula, gypsies and mountains. That's right, but Romania, with the "correct use", will open up many more interesting and unique things for you.
How to go? I will say right away that this is not a country where bus tours go once a month, and even more so planes fly every day. And this is definitely not the country where you should go without a route, a plan and with the words “we will decide on the spot”. You can decide everything, but upon your return, a post will appear on your social network pages that there is nothing to do there, it’s expensive, and nothing is connected with Dracula. It's not about us, right?
A train runs from Kyiv to Bucharest once a week and a plane flies 4 times a week, but in Romania, unlike Hungary, Slovakia or Poland, it is worth seeing not only the capital - Bucharest, but small towns in Transylvania.
Here we go?
There are 2 options: economical and not very. 🙂 Economical - bus tour from Chernivtsi. The main thing is that the tour is guaranteed (it was definitely driving), and it is easy to get to Chernivtsi from anywhere in Ukraine by train. The route of bus tours is mostly standard: Suceava - Bistrica - Sighisoara - Brasov - Sinai - Bran. The main thing is that there would be Bucharest. He's worth it!
The second option is by car) Personally, I highly recommend it, since there is an opportunity to see more Kamenets-Podolsk under the road, and Chernivtsi on the back. You can also stay overnight there! These cities are worth your time. But be sure to take a guide in Romania for 3 days! The money will be well spent. )
Road through Ukraine + border = just survive). And go for adventure!
Real Transylvania awaits you: serpentine roads, unreal beauty outside the car window, clean and unexpectedly pleasant. Of the tips, I’ll say right away: if you get motion sickness, take pills, the serpentines are strong, close the car from the inside - gypsies love to play pranks.
We are heading to Brasov. Very convenient city for a couple of nights. If you want to completely relax - climb a little higher - to the resort of Payana Brasov. In the evening in Brasov, after the road, I advise you to look into a colorful restaurant SERGIANA (in the basement). Delicious, inexpensive and very atmospheric. I'm not a fan of recommending dishes, it's all very individual. In the evening, after the road, it’s super to walk around the evening Brasov. It will seem to you that you are in Krakow, Poznan or Lodz, but only without the crowds of people.
Night at the resort of Payana Brasov, strength restored, Dracula is not scary.
There are 2 castles ideally located near Brasov - Bran and Peles. And now the most terrible phrase of the entire article and the legend about Romania is that Dracula never existed in them. These castles should only be visited with a guide. Bran Castle is known as Dracula's Castle. I repeat once again, so that there are no disappointments - go with a guide. Peles Castle on my list is called "just handsome." This is indeed one of the richest, non-standard, and most importantly, castles that have survived from the end of the 19th century. Just be careful, look around. Bears can safely walk around the city of Sinai.
In the vicinity of Brasov there is also the Ryshnov fortress, the Castle Valley cave (if the forces remain).
Another night at the ski resort will definitely do even more good.
We continue on our way to Bucharest. On the way, we advise you to go to the canyon of 7 stairs. Romanian miracle in the mountains Big Stone.
See Bucharest with a guide, and most importantly, be sure to get into the Parliament building.
If there is a free day, and it would be better, what would be - give it to the water park  THERME (one of the largest Wellness centers in Europe), as well as shopping (good prices and brands).
And on the way back, spend the night in Chernivtsi and visit the university!
And REMEMBER, After every trip, you never come back the same!
