The main air port of the country. There is a direct UIA flight to Tehran and departures with transfers via Baku, Istanbul. There are many museums, mosques, palaces, traditional restaurants, bazaars.

Must visit:

  • Azadi Tower from white Iranian marble. Inside the tower there is a museum of the country's history, among the expositions of which are Zoroastrian artifacts and ceramics. The tower is open from 9:00 to 17:00 from Sun to Fri.
  • Milad Tower - the tallest building in Iran, 435 meters. At the top there is an observation platform, and at 276 meters there is a panoramic restaurant.
  • National Museum of Iran – the best ancient artifacts are collected here, among which are not only finds from Persepolis, but also a human mummy. In total, the museum stores more than 300 thousand exhibits. Open from Tue to Sun.
  • national treasury or the Museum of Crown Treasures houses the rarest gems and numerous luxury items. Photography in the museum is prohibited, so there are no high-quality photos, you need to go and see. The museum is open from 14:00 to 16:30 on Tue and Sat.
  • Golestan Palace Complex - the palace-museum, consists of 20 buildings, among which the throne, marble halls, and the library stand out. All rooms are richly decorated. The territory is large, you will have to spend several hours to see everything. The palace is open from 9:00 to 17:00
  • Abo Atash fire and water park - a great place for a romantic evening. Beautifully illuminated houses and towers are reflected in the water - it's worth the time spent on the road to this object.

In addition to these attractions, you should pay attention to the Saabad Palace, the Carpet Museum, the Niyavaran Palace Museum, the Khomeini Mausoleum. And the best place to shop is, of course, the Grand Bazaar, where you can find everything!

Kashan

The city of Kashan is located halfway between Tehran and Isfahan. It takes about three hours to get there by car. In this city, all the sights are collected in the center, and he himself is actually a rest point on the way to Isfahan. It makes no sense to stop at night, but it is worth making a stop.

What to watch:

  • House of Boroujerdi - a beautiful building of 1857 with a courtyard and a pond. The house took 18 years to build and is a masterpiece of Persian architecture.
  • Agha Bozorg Mosque - a classical mosque, was built in the 18th century.
  • Garden Fin - an old garden with an area of 23 thousand square meters, 9 km from the center of Kashan. UNESCO World Heritage Site. The complex has many swimming pools and buildings, most of which are traditional restaurants. Great place for lunch!

After refreshing, you can go to Isfahan, which is still about two hours away. On the way, you can visit the village of Abyani - a settlement in the mountains, which is more than 1500 years old.
