Tour program  

Day 1: Georgetown

Arrival at Chedd Jaggan Georgetown Airport in Guyana. Meeting with the driver and transfer to the Marriott hotel.  

Day 2: Georgetown - Kaieteur Falls

After breakfast, flight to Kaieteur Falls.

Deep inland, in the Amazonian forest region, is the Kaieteur National Park, and it is here that one of the largest waterfalls in the world with the same name, Kaieteur, is located. Few waterfalls in the world can compete with it when you consider its overall height and the volume of water from the Potaru River that flows along the edge of the abyss.

Kaieteur Falls, surrounded by virgin jungle, is little known, and the reason for this is its inaccessibility and remoteness. To achieve this miracle, you need to hire a tour company that rents a plane, and you will get to the trekking site, from where the waterfall is accessible.

Overnight at the Marriott hotel.  

Day 3: Georgetown - Paramaribo

Transfer to the International Airport for the flight to Suriname. Upon arrival meet and greet in Paramaribo.

Paramaribo city tour (3 hours)

You will enjoy the tour by car and on foot, during which you will see the most historical buildings of Paramaribo with their unique architecture. The guide will give you information about interesting facts, and in particular about the Fort Zeeland Museum, the Presidential Palace and Independence Square. You will also visit the Embankment (the promenade along the Suriname River) and the Palm Garden. On the way, you will see a mosque and a synagogue right next to each other, and you will also visit the typical Suriname working quarter “Frimangron”.

After the city tour, in the evening you will have a 3-hour relaxing boat ride where you will get some fresh air on the river. You will enjoy the coolness of the river water, amazing view, refreshing (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) drinks with delicious snacks and listening to relaxing music.

We will try to see dolphins while we stop for a short time. The more curious dolphins tend to come very close. If you see their little eyes gleaming above the surface of the water as they move through the water, it probably means they are ready to play.

We continue our journey to the Johan & Margaretha plantation. Depending on the season, you can sit on a wooden bench by the river and enjoy a variety of local tasty snacks such as crispy baked fish, or Hindustani 'barras', hearty snacks made from dough and spicy ingredients. You can also enjoy a short walk or just relax and take in the scenery.

After sunset, we continue our journey to the river delta near the Atlantic Ocean. Meanwhile, the colored sky and dark twilight slowly intertwine. As soon as it gets dark, we return to the pier in Leonesberg, in a pleasant atmosphere on a boat with lights and relaxing music in the background.

Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at the Torarica Hotel.  

Day 4: Paramaribo

Pepperpot Tour: Pepperpot is a plantation on the other side of the Suriname River, near Paramaribo. Pepperpot is an old coffee and cocoa plantation that was established in the early 19th century and farmed for a long time by the Jansen family. There are 2 other old houses on the factory complex, a coffee warehouse from 1808, which has now been converted into a coffee and cocoa factory. Production continued into 1996. Pepperpot is also popular with birdwatchers, and if you're lucky, you may encounter marmosets, capuchin monkeys and sapakaras' (giant lizards) on the plantation's paths.

We will also visit the beautiful Butterfly Park and continue the tour to Berg en Dal River Resort Overnight at Berg en Dal River Resort.  

Day 5:

Transfer from Berg en Dal to the international airport for flight home.
